RuneScape dev Jagex sold by parent organization for $530 million

The Chinese organization Fukong Interactive has sold the whole of its stake in RuneScape engineer Jagex.

Discuss an approaching deal had been flowing since early this year, with Jagex expressing in January that its parent organization may incorporate the studio in a rundown of advantages it would auction as a feature of a noteworthy rearrangement. 

The deal was accounted for by the Chinese distribution Yicai Global before the end of last month, and spotted by MMOFallout not long after. That unique Yicai Global story records the purchaser as US Platinum Fortune and notes that the deal was important to square away obligation gathered by the parent organization.

The studio’s selling cost is given as $530 million, which is a decent $230 million more than the $300 million Fukong paid to obtain Jagex in 2016.
