Financing will be used to finish making its Kids vs Zombies multiplayer shooter mobile game.
Donut Lab is a Russia-based game studio founded by Tim Raiter, Vitaliy Urban and Andrey Gordeev in 2018. Previously the members of the company have worked with such studios as Wargaming, Braavo Ventures, and Starta Ventures, where they raised money for developing their own project. Kids vs. Zombies is a free-to-play multiplayer shooter mobile game in a cartoon style. And now Donut Lub announces they has raised $1.6m in funding to finish the game.
For the mainstream audience, we really wanted to make the game without a lot of violence. They are fighting against mediocrity, boredom, and the adults who become the zombies.

The funding round was led by Luxembourg-based investment firm Level-Up. And one of its cofounders Thibaud Morin states the firm trust in Donut Lab because “they understood games”. Kids vs. Zombies is currently on Google Play in early access, and will eventually release on iOS. The main way of earning money on this game is monetizing cosmetic virtual items and abilities.
