This article will help you create a Project with all information needed to take part in search functionality and detailed information if Investors or Publishers extend their interest to your Project page.
You start with the choice between Access levels:
Open Access implies that your Project’s profile will be visible to all GamesRound users, both registered and unregistered site guests, as well as to the Certified Investors and Publishers.
Limited Access means that only Certified Investors and Publishers will see your Project page. You can choose this option if there is sensitive information about your Project you would not want to share with everyone.
Project Company – choose a Company for your Project. Company is important for the sorting functionality but not mandatory. You can choose “No Company”, but keep in mind that Publishers and Investors add Company filters as well, while searching for Projects. You can create your company on My Companies page in your profile.
Project name – Please use the real name of your Project which can be verified through open sources (e.g. Steam, App Store, Play Market, etc.).
Short Description – This is a one-two sentences elevator pitch. It should be snappy and memorable: “Mario Kart meets Mario Party in an episode of The Amazing Race”. Try to communicate what is the key concept of the game.
Long Description – Full information about your Project which will be visible on a Project page.
Several recommendations:
- List several bullet points that encapsulate the game and features that make your game a standout. Why the core concept is cool and will be super fun to play
- Examples include unique game world, never before seen gameplay or mechanics, weird and wonderful central character or cast of characters
- Explain the core experience and provide a short overview on the main gameplay features:
- Length of single player campaign
- Multiplayer modes
- Game structure
- Project Logo – please add a square logo, otherwise it will be cut to a square
- If the project is in concept and pitch stage, include concept art and art style examples from other games and mediums like art, film, and animation that exemplify the targeted style and quality bar for the game
- If the project is further in development, include examples of character models, environments, and screenshots
- Use images to create a mood board that will touch on things like character, universe or world building, gameplay, camera, other aspects of the gameplay that might be hard to communicate with just text on its own
Team members section – list your key team members with a short description of their experience and accomplishments. Show that your company has a team that can deliver great results.
