Microsoft has added another significant engineer to Xbox Game Studios: Double Fine Productions. The news was declared at Microsoft’s E3 press preparation, with Double Fine prime supporter Tim Schafer making that big appearance to playfully promise Xbox that his studio would make, “Radiance stuff, Forza stuff, Excel stuff.” Luckily, Double Fine will rather continue making Psychonauts 2, with Schafer presenting another trailer for the long on improvement spin-off. Following the declaration, Starbreeze affirmed that it got $13.2 million in return for the Psychonauts 2 distributing rights. The pained Swedish organization put $8 million in the game in February 2017. This is the second back to back E3 where Microsoft has declared noteworthy studio acquisitions. A year ago, it reported the arrangements to purchase Ninja Theory and Playground Games, with Obsidian and inXile following a while later. Microsoft displayed 14 first-party diversions in its E3 instructions this year, the most in its history.
