The Strong National Museum of Play has declared it has gotten a $700,000 award from the National Endowment for the Humanities toward another display that will investigate gaming’s effect on social history.
Advanced Worlds is planned to be opened in 2022.
The award is through the Chairman’s Special Award, which the Endowment’s rules state is granted normally just once every year to a task that “looks at significant humanities thoughts in new ways and shows the possibility to contact particularly enormous spectators.”
The display, entitled Digital Worlds, will be part into two sections.
